I absolutely agree with Ira. There is no way to get good at this without doing it, and no way to refine and develop your language into something coherent and eloquent without doing a lot of it. And constantly looking at what you've done. Finding the elements that worked, seeing where you failed to meet your expectations, pushing harder, editing out the unneccessary, the superficial, the borrowed. Hopefully we can enjoy the process though.
